High School Entrance Exam Prep Package (HSPT only)
Make the most of your summer by unlocking your full potential with one-on-one high school entrance exam tutoring!
For Rising 8th Graders
The summer before 8th grade is the ideal time to prepare for the HSPT without the distractions of the school year. Since the exam is given in the fall, early preparation builds skills and confidence well in advance.
This structured, virtual program gives students everything they need to feel ready on test day.
What’s Included:
-
Full-Length Baseline Practice Test to identify strengths and growth areas
-
8 One-on-One Private Sessions (1 hour each) focused on HSPT content and strategy
-
Access to an Online Practice Portal with practice tests, targeted questions, and homework between sessions
I recommend 2 sessions per week, though scheduling is flexible. The program must be completed no later than four weeks before the exam.
2026 Scheduling:
-
June 8 – August 11:
Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM -
After August 11:
Weekday evening sessions only
All sessions are held virtually via Zoom. Students must have access to a computer or iPad.
Optional Test-Date Refresh Sessions:
Once the official test date is released, I offer additional one-hour refresher sessions at $100/hour to review key strategies and sharpen skills.
These sessions are not required but are strongly recommended for optimal performance.Â
Quote from Tutor (Alyssa Aprahamian): "I’m Sandy’s daughter, and it’s been an amazing journey working alongside her for the last few years. I graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Education and began my career as a sixth-grade teacher at a Catholic school. I am now teaching fifth grade and continue to love helping students grow, learn, and gain the confidence they need to succeed. Teaching is truly my passion. I’m a proud Villa Maria Academy alumna and excited to help students pursue admission to their dream high schools. This is my second summer running the HSPT program, and I’m looking forward to spending my summers getting to know students and helping them transition to high school with confidence."Â
